The
1967 Nashville 420 top three qualifiers were Dick Hutcherson, Richard
Petty and Jim Paschal (at left). Paschal led 15 laps before his
1967 Plymouth was forced to retire with steering problems.
Hutcherson led for 22 laps before engine failure ended his day.
The day belonged to Richard Petty and his 1967 Petty Enterprises
Plymouth as he led 131 laps and won by a margin of five laps over second
place James Hylton.
